We all know Trump is a liar and a thief. It's not a big leap to say he obstructed and lied. We don't think Biden is a liar and a thief, so we give him the benefit of the doubt. To no one's surprise, the media came to President Biden's defense over his classified document scandal, which we're currently in the middle of. Just a few short months ago, their heads were exploding over classified documents found in Mar-a-logo. The left is claiming that Biden's case is different and somehow less serious than Trump's, so
what are the actual differences, if any, and how will Biden's classified document scandal impact Trump's case?
If at all possible, let's bring in Jim Trustee, an attorney for U.S. President Trump, who's handling all this stuff at Mar-a-Lago. Jim, it's great to see you.
Are you surprised by the various types of card coverage and analysis surrounding the two presidents?
not particularly I mean, we see a very bipolar department of justice when it comes to these matters, and the media, or at least the mainstream media, is right in tow with that, suggesting that everything's just fine in Wilmington and in Delaware and everything's criminal down in Mar-a-logo. So a couple of things they say: "Well look we were caught, and we're cooperating uh trump didn't trump "Okay, come down check out the documents here's some of them not all of them. they lock it up You locked it up but then they said three weeks later you had to raid because you ignored a subpoena.
what's not true about that? I mean, look immediately if told you're not going to have access to classified records the same way other presidents do. They took that away from them right from the beginning, which was probably a bad sign. They begin negotiations in conversation, and he turns over 15 boxes' worth of material. I think thousands of pages of materials are given to the national archivist in January. So, in the months that follow, the Department of Justice issues a grand jury subpoena, which is unprecedented as a criminal investigative tool, to criminalize presidential records disputes, which has never happened in history and is unlikely to happen again. You get to June, and they say,
"Hey, can we come down?" The president lets them come down to Mar-a-Lago, lets them see the storage room, and says anything you need, just ask. Well, the only ask they had was to put a padlock on the door, which he did, and two months later with nothing in between, they decide, "Well, let's just break down the padlock and get in there and take stuff."
Ron DeSantis announces plans for protections against COVID mandates:
Dan: Welcome back to "unfiltered. " Once a government takes away your rights, have fun getting them back. Governor Desantis is taking steps to secure our body's sovereignty and medical freedom. And protect workers who refuse to take a jab. Governor Ron Desantis joins us now. You were ruthlessly attacked by the media with horrible names like Death Santis. Your approach to the pandemic was right.
>> Dan, you used to keep things running with textbook pandemic preparedness. That's what we tried to do in Florida. Having kids in school was important. But what we did better than anyone was to protect our citizens against this vaccine used as a weapon. We banned vaccine passports almost two years ago. The powers that be, from Biden on down, wanted to marginalize people from society if they didn't take it, deny them the right to earn a living, and keep kids from going to school if they didn't take it. We protected them and their ability to participate in society. This coming legislative session, we are going to make all those protections permanent. And we'll add protections so you can't be fired from your job. But some businesses are treating people differently based on whether they have had a moral booster. And you and I know these boosters don't protect people from getting infected. We are bringing rationality to this matter. And that's one of the reasons we have done well and why people have responded to our leadership. Dan: if you win by one point, it's a landslide in Florida. If you win by 20, it's a cosmic level for a Marvel Avenger.
You took it to those "woke" companies. The NHL was attempting to hold a career summit for minorities only. I thought segregation and discrimination by race were bad ideas.
>> We believe that Florida is the final resting place of the soul. Part of that means we believe people should be treated as individuals. We are against racial discrimination, but that's all discrimination. We are not going to indulge in this woke conceit that it's okay to discriminate against some people. We made it clear to the NHL that they violated our laws, and they reversed quickly. When we are treated as individuals rather than as groups, society benefits. Dan: They are going after you again like the ridiculous "don't say gay" bill, which didn't say that at all. It has to get old for you.
>> it has been a four-year cycle of taking strong action. The media and the left will have a spasm. They will say the heavens are going to fall. Then two or three months later, they will move on and say the governor was right. However, we believe in higher education in Florida. It's about academic excellence and the pursuit of truth. We don't believe higher education should be for social justice or impose an ideology on the student. That is a different approach than most colleges in our country take. However, it is the approach that I believe most Floridians want to see and what is best for Florida students. We are excited about taking on these issues. Not many people have been able to do that and we are doing it in Florida.
